I have always wanted to start a scholarship fund in my name, and through my challenges I’m confident it will allow me to make an impact on someone’s life and help mentor them to the goals and dreams they have.

Growing up I always surrounded myself with my elders because I wanted to learn from what they have done. In high school I received a local scholarship for the leadership and impact I had in the community. This family took a chance on me, and now I want to do the same and help others like me. Someone that is looking for guidance, a person to communicate with about goals, dreams, thoughts, and ambitions.

This opportunity will allow me to share the knowledge I’ve learned and the wisdom I’ve acquired through life experiences. I strive to be 1% better than I was the day before, and working to help someone that was just like me 7 years ago is the best way I feel I am accomplishing that. 

I am grateful for your time and hope along this journey you can learn more about me and the dreams I have for the future of our society. It takes a lot to build a kingdom, but brick by brick, I hope we can build that palace in our minds for a better us tomorrow. Now clip in and take a seat because I’ve got some riding to do!

Why did you name is the Finding Future Scholarship Fund?

The heart behind calling the scholarship fund Finding Future is to hopefully help the individuals awarded in discovering and “finding their future”. My goal would be to help join them in their journey to improve their mind and future. Helping with some financial assistance and the opportunity to build a connection about their passions in life, I believe can add a valuable relationship in both of our lives. 

Who is this scholarship for?

I’m looking for young professionals looking for a mentor and guidance in their personal development goals and journey.

Throughout the first half of the year and my fundraising efforts leading to my Katy Trail bike ride on May 1st, I am able to grant three $1,000 scholarships for this coming Fall 21- Spring 22 additional education programs. This includes all programs from Community college, University, Trade School, Computer Programming/ Coding Certificates, Nursing School, Personal Training Certificate, Nutritionist, Chiropractor, and any self enrolled course to develop your personal ambitions.

Applications will be accepted until September 10th. The following step will be over the phone interviews from the 13th to 18th. With the awards being announced on September 20th.

Through this scholarship I hope to provide more than financial assistance and truly turn this into a relationship to help push one another to cultivate our future.
